Work Description

”Stained Glass” is a concertino written for Joshua Redman, Aaron Goldberg and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. In this composition I connect the musical worlds of these extraordinary soloists and the chamber orchestra. The title “Stained Glass” is a metaphor for the concept of this work. As stained glass, for example in a church window, is put together by many different pieces that change through light and perspective, this composition also consists of various elements, which are exposed in different ways and transform throughout the concertino.
